What’s it like at Cuckoo Meadow Pre-School? Find out by following the adventures of Ronnie Woods – My day at pre-school by Ronnie Woods!

Do you provide lunch?

Lunchtime is every day between 12.00pm – 12.30pm. The children bring their own packed lunches with them (we do not provide lunch). It is an opportunity for the children to socialise with their friends whilst having their lunch. The children love attending lunch club and it is great preparation for those starting school in September.

What happens in hot weather?

When the sun is shining and it is looking like a hot day in prospect, could you please ensure children are sent into Pre-School wearing sun cream and with a (named) sun hat. Please can you also remember that crocs and flip-flops are not appropriate footwear for Pre-School sessions.

Does my child need to wear a uniform?

Uniform items are available to purchase but are not compulsory. A uniform can help to give the children a sense of identity and belonging and also serves to limit what gets paint and glue on and saves your child’s everyday clothes! A uniform also prepares them for big school.

Is there an early collection procedure?

Can we please remind you that if you need to collect your child early from Pre-School you should come to the main door and ring the bell rather than opening up the gate and coming into the playground. This is to ensure the children’s safety.

Does my child need to be potty trained?

No – if your child is still in nappies/pull ups when they start at pre-school, please ensure you provide spare nappies/pull ups, nappy sacks and wipes every day. If they are starting to toilet train, then please provide spare clothing, bags for wet/soiled clothing and wipes. The children will learn from their peers and usually once they see their friends becoming more independent, they will follow suit.
