Update 10th July 2019

Hello from Cuckoo Meadow in the penultimate week at pre-school.  Some of you may have noticed that a lot of the children’s artwork has been taken down from the walls and put into the children’s files.  We won’t be replacing the pictures at the moment because during the summer holidays the preschool room is being painted!

If you have not already done so please return your children’s photos along with the payment before the end of this week.

If your child is leaving pre-school next Fridaycould you please let us know how many adults will be attending the leavers presentation.  Thank you.

That’s all for now enjoy the warm weather.

Update 28th June 2019

Hello from Cuckoo Meadow at the end of another week.

As you’re aware Tapestry seems to have been disabled for group observations.  Just to let you know we are trying to resolve this and we are waiting for Tapestry Support to advise us on the problem.  Thank you for your patience.

Next Thursday afternoon (4th July) we will be visited by Zoolab at 1.30-2.30 who will bring in small creepy crawlies for the children to explore.  This has been made possible from your kind voluntary contributions.  If you do not usually attend this session you are welcome to bring in your child and stay with them for this lovely extra curricular experience.

We would also like to inform you next week we have a student working in Pre-school from Testbourne school on work experience.  Her name is Alice Trigwell.  Please make her welcome.

As always every year we complete our assessments of the children leaving us to go to ‘big school’ at the end of June so there will be no observations on these children after this time, as we are now in transition discussions with your child’s reception teacher.   If you have any queries about your children moving on to school please have a word with either your child’s key person or Jo or Fiona.   You will be notified shortly about how to download your child’s Tapestry learning journal .

Have a nice sunny weekend.

Update 1st May 2019

Hello from Cuckoo Meadow.  Just a reminder that preschool is closed tomorrow (Thursday 2nd May and Friday 3rd May).  Monday is bank holiday so back to preschool on Tuesday.

A massive thank you to everybody that has brought in filled Smartie tubes and sponsorship forms.  So far we have raised the amazing sum of £600.  This will help pay for the Zoo Lab visit in the Summer term so again thank you very much.

The three largest amounts of sponsorship were raised by:  Arabella Lovelock, Max Turner and Joshua Lee, who will all receive a prize, so well done to them.

Enjoy the bank holiday weekend.

Sports Day

On Thursday 25th April we will be holding a small sports day from 2-3pm. Please come along and cheer your little ones on as they have some fun on the meadow.

The last event will be a run around the meadow. We will be sending home a smarties tube and sponsor form for each child this week. The children will each be completing a sponsored walk of 10 laps of the meadow between now and sports day to raise money for their pre-school. Please try and fill your smarties tube with any change to help support them and the school.

The children can then give in their filled tube at the end of the final lap.

Tea and cake will be available to buy. Now let’s just hope the sun comes out to play too!
