Hello from Cuckoo Meadow just a quick reminder that today (Friday 9th February) is the last day of half term. We return after the break on Monday 19th February.
We have had a very busy week. On Tuesday we were visited by Julie from a local supermarket who brought in a rainbow variety of fruit and vegetables for the children to explore ending with the children making rainbow coloured kebabs for snack. Thank you Marianne for organising this visit on our behalf the children really enjoyed it.
We had our final Rugbytots session with Andy on Wednesday this has proved very successful for the children and the good news is that thanks to your voluntary contributions we have been able to book another set of sessions for the summer term, more details to follow nearer the time.
We were also very lucky to have Emma Yau come into preschool and talk to the children about Chinese New Year. We decorated lanterns and filled wallets with chocolate money and sweets, we hope the children enjoyed these! Thank you Emma.
That’s all our news for now, have a lovely half term.
Happy New Year to you all we hope you had a great Christmas break. Preschool has resumed in full swing this half term we will be looking at winter weather and arctic weather we hope you have enjoyed the polar bears theme this week.
Next week on Tuesday and Wednesday (thanks to your voluntary contributions) Rugby Tots will be visiting again. Please ensure your child has appropriate footwear and clothing to take part in this activity I.e trainers that the children can change into if needed. Rugby Tots will take place every week during this half term and we are looking forward to getting outside to kickstart the new year!
This half term is a short one! The last day of preschool is Friday 9th February and we return on Monday 19th February. We break for Easter on Thursday 29th March and return on Monday 16th April.

Hello from Cuckoo Meadow. We are collecting library books in over the Christmas period so that they don’t get thrown out with the Christmas wrapping paper! We will be giving the children their library books at the start of the next term.
The last day of pre-school is Wednesday 20th December there are NO sessions on Thursday 21st this is party day. The party food list is now up in pre-school on the toy cupboard door. Please choose an item you would like to bring in and write your name against it. There is no charge for your child to attend the Christmas party so this will be the only contribution we ask from you. The children will receive a present from Father Christmas and also another gift which has been funded by a very generous grandparent. Please arrive promptly at 11.00, leave your child with us and return again promptly at 12.50 in good time to see the arrival of Father Christmas.
