We hope you and your families are keeping well. We are awaiting the Government go ahead for reopening on the 1st June, but, we thought we would write to communicate with you about what is happening in the background and how we are preparing for preschool in this next phase of lockdown.
Attached to this email, you will receive a risk assessment to read carefully and sign. The slip which must be returned on your first morning back at preschool. In this, you will find all the information you need with regards what to expect and the important role that you will play in helping to keep our preschool community safe.
On Friday (tomorrow) one of us will phone those of you who have indicated you will be attending preschool, week beginning 1st June, so we can talk over the risk assessment and answer any questions you might have arising from the document.
Preschool will open Monday to Friday 9 -12. There will be no lunch club or afternoon sessions.
On your child’s return please bring in the following:
- A full named liquid soap dispenser to leave at preschool which will be for your child’s use only.
- A named plastic bag with a change of clothes in it. This will remain at preschool
- A named water bottle
They do not need their preschool bag or any show and tell.
This is going to be a new experience for all of us and we have worked very hard to consider the mental well being of the children as well as their and our health and safety. They have been away from preschool for a while and we will endeavour to settle them in as normal, however, with social distancing considerations, if your child is very unwilling to leave you, we will have to ask you to take them home and try again another day. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation with this, especially during these early days as we return to our ‘new normal’.
We will be in touch again with confirmation of opening or not (!) after May 29th.
If you have any questions or queries, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
Jo and Fiona
