Update from preschool – July 2nd

Student

You may have noticed a new face in Pre-School this week. Rebecca Kearsey is a student on a 2 week work placement so do say hello and make her feel welcome.

Leavers
Invitations to the leavers end of term celebration are being sent out this week. If you could let staff know ASAP if you will be attending that would be very helpful.

Bugs

We have had a case of cryptosporidium infection reported by a parent. The symptoms to look out for are high temperature, diarrhoea and sickness. If your child is showing prolonged symptoms please do seek medical advice.

Bags2School

Thank you to everyone who managed to donate to the latest collection. We’ll keep you posted on the total raised.

Fun Toddle

A further call for any outstanding sponsorship money. If you have yet to hand this in to Pre-School it would be really helpful if you could do so this week.

Afternoon Tea

Posters will be going up shortly about another afternoon tea on Friday 11th July from 1.30pm. We’d be delighted if you could join us – a perfect opportunity to catch up with everyone before the long summer holiday begins.

Parent Committee

Several of the current Parent Committee will be standing down in the Autumn now that their children are moving on to school. We would be very keen to hear from anyone who thinks they might have some time to spare to step up and join the Committee. It’s a hugely rewarding role to take on and it doesn’t have to mean lots of work. It’s also critical that we have an active and engaged parent body to ensure that Pre-School is able to run so successfully. If you are keen to find out more, please do drop Kathryn a line or grab a word with any of the current Committee (details are listed on the noticeboard in pre-school). Members of the Committee will be at the afternoon tea on 11th July and will be only too happy to answer any questions then.

Thanks!
