This week in Pre-School

It really is all about Christmas now. This week the children decorated the Christmas tree (and doesn’t it look magnificent!) and made Father Christmas masks and pictures. The Cuckoo Meadow role play shop opened once again for business and has been doing a roaring trade. Lots of enthusiastic shopkeepers definitely made the most of Black Monday!

Lots of tickets for the Nativity play have already been sold. Please remember that additional tickets will be available from Monday so if you are after more please get your requests in to staff ASAP. Unfortunately there seem to be lots of nasty bugs doing the rounds so we will be keeping a close watch on how everyone is doing and are keeping fingers crossed that we are still able to go ahead with the Nativity next weekend.

Christmas party arrangements

The Christmas party is going ahead on Friday 20th December and information leaflets with all the relevant details have been sent home with those children who have been in Pre-School this week. A list detailing all of the food needed for the party has been posted on the cupboard door and we’d be very grateful if you can sign up to contribute a plate of something delicious to the Christmas banquet. The £10 ticket price for the party covers the cost of staffing the 2 hour session, the entertainer, a present from Father Christmas and the cost of hiring the pavilion for the session.

Nativity raffle

As those of you who have been to a Pre-School in previous years will know, we always run a fundraising raffle with monies raised going in to Pre-School funds. We will be doing the same again this year and have already been lucky enough to source a few exciting prizes. If you have anything you are able to donate towards the raffle we would be hugely grateful – even just a bottle of wine or a jar of chutney would be fantastic. Anything you are able to offer can be handed in at Pre-School throughout the week. Thank you in advance for your help!

See you all soon – remember that the letter of the week is N.
