Welcome back to Pre-School after the half-term break. We hope you all enjoyed the rest and are now ready to go again.
This week in Pre-School
In their first few days back the children have enjoyed learning about Diwali and making Rangoli patterns. To add to the celebration of lights and colours, they have also enjoyed talking about fireworks and bonfires and have been singing some new songs about them.
This coming week the children will be celebrating Children in Need on Thursday and Friday. They will be making biscuits and asking for a donation of a £1 with all proceeds going towards this year’s appeal.
Letter of the week this week is J.
The photographer will once again be in Pre-School next week. If your child is not due to attend a session on Tuesday when the photographer is there you can still make an appointment to bring them along. Likewise, if you would like to have a photograph taken of your child with his/her sibling(s) you can arrange a time to do so. Please speak to the staff to arrange your slot.
Unfortunately it’s that time of year again when germs seem to breed and there has been a sickness bug doing the rounds. If your child is ill, please make sure you keep them off Pre-School for 48 hours after their last bout of sickness so we can try and minimise the likelihood of the nastiness being passed to other children and staff.
Book Club magazines were sent out last week. If you do want to place an order, please could you make sure the form is returned along with payment by 22nd November. It’s an ideal chance to get a bit of Christmas shopping done!
Letters will be sent out next week detailing which part your child will have in this year’s Nativity play. Pre-School does have a small stock of costumes so if you would like to use one of them, please speak to a member of staff.
Egg and nut allergy
Another gentle reminder that we do have children in Pre-School this year with severe nut and egg allergies so please be mindful of what you put in to your own child’s lunchbox if they are staying for lunch club.
