Another week has flashed by – hope it was a good one for you all. Remember that Pre-School breaks for half-term this coming Friday (25th October) with the children returning for the new half term on Monday 4th November.

This week in Pre-School

Lots more arts and craft this week. The children have all made shape mobiles and little pigs out of loo rolls – the team is ever inventive with their use of materials! A real treat at the end of the week was the preparation and baking of cheese scones – delicious!

The new self-registration labels are proving a real hit with lots of positive feedback. For the younger children especially the use of photographs is hugely beneficial in building their confidence and establishing them in the Pre-School routine, while it stands the older children in good stead for the look and say approach to reading of the Reception year.

Letter of the week for the interest table for the coming week is “H”.

Huge thanks to all of you who managed to make it along on Thursday. It was a successful meeting and a new committee was duly elected – further details on this will be circulated shortly. Thanks again from all at Pre-School to those members of the Committee who stood down on Thursday – Julie, Audrey and Steve – and a big welcome to our new Committee Members.

The children’s fundraising Christmas cards will be sent away to the printers at the beginning of the week and should be back with us shortly. Sacks for the Bags2School collection should arrive in Pre-School this week so will be distributed to everyone.

Just a reminder to everyone that because Pre-School doesn’t have facilities for the disposal of human waste all soiled nappies have to be sent home to parents.

Enjoy the rest of the weekend – see you next week!
