Another week has been and gone – where does the time go?! Lots more happening in Pre-School so here goes…
This week in Pre-School
The children have continued apace with their shape theme. This week they were focussing on circles so lots of lovely circle pictures. You should also have all been treated to a traffic light sandwich – a great new idea for lunch boxes! The relatively fair weather meant they were all able to get outside during the week including a trip over to the playground which is always popular.
Remember that the interest table will be the letter “d” this coming week.
Reminder – food allergies
As mentioned in last week’s email, there are now a couple of children in Pre-School with severe food allergies. Can we particularly remember not to send anything nut-based in lunch boxes so as not to cause any problems.
There will be a coffee morning this coming Friday (27th September) in the Doris Cooke room. Do drop by if you can – coffee, cakes and biscuits will be on sale with all proceeds going to Pre-School funds. Don’t worry if your child doesn’t attend on a Friday morning – do just call by anyway as there will be lots of toys out for the little ones to play with. Hope to see you there!
After the success of last year’s Bags2School collections we have now booked another slot with them. It will be taking place on Friday 29th November so start collecting up your unwanted textiles now! Let’s see if we can top our totals from last year. Bags will be sent home from Pre-School after half-term though remember that any black sack will do.
That’s all for now – see you all next week!
