Welcome to the first email bulletin of the term. Fingers crossed this will reach everyone who has handed their email address in at pre-school but it can sometimes take a little time to iron out all the gremlins so please do bear with us! Weekly bulletins will also now be posted on the website.
This week in pre-school
The children’s first topic this term is “shapes” and this week they have been looking at ovals. They have all made oval owls so do have a look out for your child’s art work on the wall display. Letter of the week was “B” and there was the usual fine array of objects brought from home on the interest table. The new children are doing well learning the ropes and are joining in enthusiastically with the days of the week rhyme at circle time. No doubt you are all being treated to renditions of this at home!
As the weather turns more autumnal, please do remember to send your child to pre-school with appropriate clothing and footwear. In particular, please remember that crocs are not suitable footwear for pre-school.
Please be aware that we have children attending pre-school with nut and egg allergies and we would therefore ask you to check that any food sent with your child for lunch club does not contain anything that may cause an allergic reaction.
Parent Management Committee AGM
Our AGM will be taking place this year on Thursday 17th October at 8pm at the Rathbone Pavilion. Everyone is welcome and we would love to see a great parent turnout. If you are interested in joining the committee or would like to know more about what is involved please do not hesitate to have a chat with one of the committee members or staff. Details of the committee are listed on the noticeboard in pre-school or else drop an email to Kathryn (Chair) at firstname.lastname@example.org.
After the AGM there will be a chance to talk to your child’s key worker at an informal parents’ evening so please do pop the date in your diary.
Please do remember that you can ask to see your child’s development book at any time throughout the term. Staff will also send it home from time to time for you to look through and comment.
Dates for your diary
Friday 27th September 9.00am – parent coffee morning (more details to follow)

As ever, please do let us know if you have any queries.
